Ian was born in Glendale, California, but moved to Wales at the age of six. He then went on to train at the National Youth Music Theatre and at the age of just 17 was accepted on to the Post Graduate course of Performing Arts at the Royal Academy of Music.
Ian has recently returned to the UK after living and working in Los Angeles for two years. His projects have included playing 'Specialist John Waddell' in Ridley Scott's film, 'Black Hawk Down'; Packer Ellison one of the lead roles in the feature film 'Extreme Dating' and appearing as a guest lead in the UPN television show 'Half and Half'. Ian's other credits include 'NCS Manhunt' with David Suchet for the BBC and 'Band of Brothers' for BBC/HBO. He has also been seen on BBC's 'Casualty' as a guest lead and played Wayne Thompson in 'Eastenders'.
Ian's UK theatre credits include: 'Godspell' at the Chichester Festival Theatre, 'She Stoops To Conquer' for the National Youth Music Theatre, 'Eejit of Love' (Greenwich Theatre), 'The Kissing Dance' (Opera House, Lyric Hammersmith), 'Little Me' (R.A.M) and 'Dr Faustus' (Crosskeys).
More recently, Ian recorded three songs with Andrew Lloyd Webber as a demo for the West End hit musical 'Woman in White' and took the lead role of Danny in 'Grease'. He has also performed with the London Symphony Orchestra in 'Bernstein Mass' and has just returned from Singapore in which he was playing Freddie in the production of 'My Fair Lady'.
Last year, Ian worked with Rise Of The Footsoldier director, Julian Gilbey, on Julian's first feature film 'Rollin' With The Nines' in which he played the role of Josh.
Ian also has his own Band named 'One on the River' which will be gigging around London this March.
